ISON, Alice (Coldiron)

1866-1964

Mrs. Alice Coldiron Ison, 98, of Blaine, KY, died Wednesday, September 16, at 
the home of a son, Raymond Ison of Blaine. Funeral services were conducted 
Saturday at 1 p.m. from the Cindas Creek Church at Relief, KY, with the Rev. 
Emmerson Collier and the Rev. Richard Barker officiating. Burial was in the Doc 
Ison Cemetery at Moon, KY. She was born at Sandy Hook, KY, on June 6, 1866, a 
daughter of the late Hiram and Rebecca Jane McCarty. Her husband, R. H. Ison, 
died in 1936. Surviving in addition to the son are 18 grandchildren, 35 great 
grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. The body was at the Young 
Funeral Home and was taken to the Raymond Ison home Friday afternoon. Big Sandy
