MABRY, Robert

1902-1956

Robert Mabry, 54, of 114 East Lock Avenue, died at 10:10 a.m. Friday at his 
home. Formerly a farmer at Gimlet, KY, he had lived in Louisa for five months. 
He was born July 7, 1902, a son of James and Sarah Mauk Mabry of Gimlet. Funeral 
services were conducted 1 p.m. Monday at the Gimlet Baptist Church, Gimlet, KY 
with the Rev. Lloyd Jordan officiating. Burial was made in the family cemetery 
at Gimlet. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Bill Short of Louisa, route 
4, Mrs. Everett Gilbert of Olive Hill, KY, and Miss Jean Mabry of Ashland; five 
sons, Berkley Mabry of Louisa, Star Route, Arvil Mabry of Louisa route 4, Walter 
and Harold Mabry of Louisa and Richard Mabry of Columbus; one sister, Mrs. Watt 
Bowling of Beauty, KY; two brothers, Levi Mabry of Lawton, KY and Brack Mabry of 
Gimlet and 16 grandchildren. The body was at the Young Funeral Home. Big Sandy
