MOORE, Lizzie

On Tuesday, May 1, 1917, the death angel visited the home of Thornton Moore of 
Mattie and claimed for its victim his loving wife, Lizzie Moore. All was done for 
her that loving hands could do, but all in vain. She had been in poor health for 
some time with the dreadful disease, tuberculosis, but bore her sufferings 
patiently. She was 59 years old and the mother of 7 children, 4 boys and one girl 
survive her. She was laid to rest on the hill overlooking the home. The burial was 
largely attended. She was converted early in life and lived a devoted Christian
