MOORE, Elbert Harrison

Elbert Harrison More, 24, of Mattie, was killed Tuesday while digging coal near 
the home. Moore left home early in the morning taking his lunch with him. When 
he failed to returned home for supper, his wife went to the mine and found him 
pinned underneath a rock which had fallen. His neck was broken and chest 
crushed. Funeral service was held Wednesday afternoon from the Cando Church and 
interment made in the family cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dimple Hayes 
Moore and a small daughter, 2 sisters, Mrs. Estil Hayes, Mattie and Miss Louise 
Moore, at home, 3 brothers, Martin L. Moore, Ellen, Del Moore, Adams, and Covey 
Moore of Columbus, OH. Big Sandy New-Recorder, Friday, Oct 5, 1934
