PRINCE, Ulysses G.

1874-1950

Ulysses G. (Lyss) Prince, 75, former postmaster and retired farmer of Irad, KY, 
died at his home Friday following an illness of one week. Mr. Prince who 
operated the Prince Mill for a number of years, was born October 8, 1874, a son 
of the late James G. and Sarah Jane Large Prince. Funeral services were held 
Sunday at the Dry Ridge Church by the Rev. S. B. Ball officiating. Burial was in 
the Thompson Cemetery at Adams, KY. The body was removed from the Young Funeral 
Home to the residence. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Genoa Thompson Prince, a 
granddaughter, Mr. Ed Diamond, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Dock Jordan, route 1, 
Louisa, and Mrs. Stella Moore, Frankfort, KY. Big Sandy News, March 30, 1950
