Mrs. Salmons was born April 24, 1869, at Dunlow, WV, a daughter of the late Harrison and Sarah Thompson Marcum. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. Her husband, Thomas A. Salmons, preceded her in death in 1947. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday (today) from the Concord Baptist Church, Route 5, Louisa, by the Rev. Henry C. Preece. Burial will be in Copley Cemetery on Route 5, Louisa. The body is at the Young Funeral Home where friends may call and will be taken to the church one hour preceding the services. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Albert Elkins of Kenova and Mrs. Martha Shields of Ogalla, NB, three sons, Zat Salmons of Patriot, OH, Phil Salmons of Route 5, Louisa, and Clyde Salmons of Fort Gay, 35 grandchildren and 57 great grandchildren.
