WHEELER, Rhoda (Ball)

1867-1955

Mrs. Rhoda Ball Wheeler, 87, died at her home in Blaine, KY, at 5 p.m. Sunday 
following an illness of three months. She was the widow of Malachi Wheeler. She 
was the daughter of the late Greenville and Fanny Thompson Ball. She was born at 
Mattie, KY, May 25, 1867. Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at 
the residence with the Rev. Jarrett Cordle officiating. Burial was made in the 
Wheeler Cemetery, Blaine, KY. She had been a member of the United Baptist church 
for 52 years. Survivors are six sons, Kay and Tip Wheeler of Louisa, Mont of 
Louisa route 1, and tom, Jake and Morgan Wheeler of Blaine; five daughters, Mrs. 
Lloyd Castle of Hannah, KY, Mrs. Alice Stambaugh of Prestonsburg, KY, Mrs. 
Walter Salyers of Gahanna, OH, Mrs. Luther Young of Wheelersburg, OH, and Mrs. 
Dock Piggmon of Louisa; 46 grandchildren, 69 great grandchildren and 5 great-
