WOODS, Jesse K.

Jesse K. Woods, 83 years old, a life time resident of Lawrence County passed 
away at his home on Little Catt Creek Saturday, Oct 6. Mr. Woods was a retired 
cattle dealer and before his retirement was active in church and community life. 
He was buried near his home on Oct 9 with the Kilgore and Collier Funeral Home, 
Catlettsburg, officiating. His funeral was preached by Judge Andrew Kiser, 
Grayson, KY, in the Baker Methodist Church. About 500 relatives and friends 
gathered to show him their last respects. The pallbearers were Lawrence Woods, 
Bob Woods, John Woods, Watt Woods, Milt Bradley, Ike Fannin and Hobart Smith. He 
is survived by his widow, Mrs. Iona Bradley Woods, 2 daughters, Mrs. R. M. 
Horton, Ashland, KY, Mrs. Frank Moore, Louisa, route 1, 7 sons, S. D. Woods, 
Grundy, VA, C. H. Woods, Cannonsburg, KY, Jesse K. Woods, Jr., at home, Z. B. 
Woods, Webbville, KY, J. W. Woods, Berkley, WV, Ephram Woods, Ashland, KY, 
Andrew J. Woods, U. S. South Pacific, and a foster son, Ray Woods, at home. He
