He was born to Rudy and Iva Combs on August 16, 1938 in Beattyville, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by both parents, one brother, Luster Combs. He is survived by son; Dewain (Lori) Combs, three daughters; Frances (John) Billman, Sheila (Richard) Combs and Catrina (Yousef) Abusafia, two brothers; Curt Combs and Eddy Combs, one sister; Brenda Holman also surviving are 15 grandchildren Andrea, Brandon, Andrew, Jennifer, Ila, Jaclyn, Nickolas, Julia, Caley, Sabrina, Jessica, Troy, Aaron, Noura and Ali and numerous nieces and nephews. "I have graduated and I am home with the Lord and those that I love which have come before me, in life I accomplished what I set out to do. The pain, struggling and suffering has ended! I am finally at peace and I am happy. I won't tell you not to grieve or miss me...I know you will. Remember that one day we will be together again." Visitation will be held today Jan. 19, 2008 from 3 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Vaughan Funeral Home Chapel. Vaughan Funeral Home of Donna is in charge of arrangements.
