VANDERPOOL, Roscoe R. Age 78 of Middletown, passed away on Thursday 
July 27, 2006 at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born on November 26, 
1927 in Airedale, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Macy Myrtle 
(Treadway) Vanderpool. Roscoe retired from General Motors in 1988 after 28 
years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, the Korean Conflict 
and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He is survived by 
his two children, Ella Moore of Virginia Beach, Virginia and John S. 
Vanderpool of Colorado; three grandchildren, Johnny Roberts Moore, Carla 
Rae Wilson and Crystal Lynn Lester; five great-grandchildren, September 
Rae Parcells, Justin Lamar Wilson, Jonathan Lee Holland, Wesley 
Alexander Holland and Karlie Joel Lester; two brothers, Robert (Patricia) 
Vanderpool of Middletown and Frank (Wilma) Vanderpool of Morristown, 
Tennessee; three nephews and one niece. Funeral Service will be held 10:00 
a.m. on Monday July 31, 2006 at the Webb Noonan Funeral Home, Ross !
Ave. at South "D" Street, with Rev. Steve Weatherly officiating. Burial 
will follow at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday 
from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
