I've heard of a couple of possible names for his father and mother . I have no documented proof that it's true information so I keep researching . Andrew married Sarah Crider ( daughter of George W. Crider & Mary Farler ) before 1898 . She was a very petite , fair skinned and beautiful lady . He was dark complexion and fiery tempered personality . It wasn't easy to live in Kentucky during that time period if you were dark skinned . Most of the people I've talked to like The Vaughn Family . They said Andrew's ancestors was from an Indian Reservation . He and Sarah had seven children that we know of . (1)William Bradley 1898-1981 (2)Hiram Nepolian 1900-1951 (3)Dona Bell -1904-1985 (4)George W. -1912-1928 (5)James Garfield -unk. (6)Mary -unk (7)Ewing I've been told by his son and several other sources that he was Sheriff of Harlan County Ky . late 1800's - early 1900's . He and Sarah owned property in Eolia Ky . Andrew was a farmer , miner and boot legger also . His young son George W. was shot and killed at age 17, by Edmond Bolling ( as listed online article called "Pound Killins" ) . Andrew was found dead by his son W. B. in abt. 1920 . We found a very shabbily written , ( not much info ) death certificate that was suppose to be for Andrew . The Census Records are so messed up and some info incorrect , I wait and keep searching looking for the truth . I know there was a lot of predguduce back then and I try to sort out facts from what people made up a story to be . I would love to know what his mother and father's name were . If they were Indian , Spanish , Portuguese or what ever race they are all still my Ancestors . I'm sure I would've loved them all very much .
