Herald 1973 CHARLES GORDON SPRIGGS Charles Gordon Spriggs son of the late C. O. and Cora M. Spriggs, was born June 1, 1906 at Stout (formly Rome), Ohio, in Adams County, and passed away April 24, 1973 at Huntington, W. Va.. He was a C&O employee, having worked some 30 years. He was in World War II, having spent much time in New Guiana with the Radio and Signal Corps. He leaves to mourning, his wife, Eva Black Spriggs, three daughters, Judy, May, and Sandy, one son, Bobby Guy, and three grandchildren, also are the following brothers and sisters; C. S. Spriggs of Garrison, Guy H. Spriggs of Petersburg, Fla., Paul O. Spriggs of Huntington, Mrs Gladys Cogan of Concord, Mrs Meryl Rupe of Blue Ash, Ohio, Mrs. Ethel Vance of Vanceburg, Mrs. Alma Moffett, Lexington, Ky., Mrs. Ruth Stone, Monroe, Mich. and Violet Copeland of Lexington, Ky. Mr. Spriggs had been a resident of Lewis County for many years.
