LAND GRANT: LEE, George, Lincoln County, KY Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 07:31:51 -0800 From: "Martina Carpenter" Grants South of Green River George Lee Lincoln County Book 5 Pages 218 -219 FHC #0272830 Charles Scott Esq governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all whom these presents shall come greeting Know ye that by Virtue and in consideration of part of a Certificate number one hundred and Eleven granted by the Commissioners in Seventeen hundred and ninety eight agreeable to an act of Asembly for encouraging and granting relief to Settlers there is granted by the Said Commonwealth unto George Lee a certain tract or parcel of Land containing one hundred and Seventy acres by Survey bearing date the twenty eighty day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety eight lying and being in the County of Lincoln on the waters of Buck Creek and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning at a black oak corner to Wm McGuiers thence South Eleven West one hundred and Seventy poles to a white oak thence South twenty one east forty poles to a white oak thence North eighty six East one hundred and eighty poles to two black oak corner to Robert Gilliland thence with said Gillilands line North twenty one West one hundred and Sixty poles to a black oak thence North Sixty nine West one hundred and eighteen poles to the Beginning With its appurtenances to have and to hold the Said Tract or parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Georg Lee and his heirs forever In Witness whereof the Said Charles Scott Esq governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the Seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the twenty fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eight and of the commonwealth the Seventeenth.
