LAND GRANT: LEE, Jacob, Lincoln County, Kentucky Date: Fri, 25 Feb 2000 08:05:05 -0800 From: "Martina Carpenter" Virginia Grants Jacob Lee Lincoln County, KY Book 8 Pages 444 - 445 FHC #0272813 Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the commonwealth of Virginia to all to whom these presents Shall come Greeting Know ye that by Virtue and in consideration of a Land office Treasury Warrant Number 6306 and issued the 22th day of June 1781 there is Granted By the said Commonwealth unto Jacob Lee a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing three Hundred and Seventy five acres by Survey bearing date 28th day of June 1784 lying and Being in the County of Lincoln on the waters of Paint Lick Creek and bounded as followeth (To wit) Beginning at a Sugar tree standing in Samuel Gordens Line and Running East two Hundred and Twenty Poles to an Ash and Elm standing in Hendersons Line thence North ten degrees East Sixty Two poles with said Line to an ash and Sugar tree thence South Eighty degrees East one Hundred and thirty four Poles with Said Hendersons line to a walnut standing in McCormicks line thence North twenty one degrees West two Hundred and four Poles to a read oak thence South Seventy five degrees West three Hundred and five poles to a Sugar tree corner to Gordens Survey thence South ten degrees East one Hundred and fifty Poles with Said Gordens Line to the Beginning With its appurtenances to have and to hold the Said Tract or parcel of Land with its Appurtenances to the Said Jacob Lee and His Heirs forever. In Witness whereof the said Patrick Henry Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto Set his hand and Caused the lessor Seal of the Said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the fourteenth day of August in the year of Our Lord One thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Six and of the Commonwealth the Eleventh.
