Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to all Whom these Presents shall come Greeting Know ye That by Virtue and in Consideration of a Certificate Number 323 Granted by the Commissioners in 1798 Agreeably to an act of Assembly for encouraging and Granting relief to settlers there is Granted by the said Commonwealth unto Stephen Lee a certain Tract or parcel of Land containing Two hundred acres by Survey bearing date the Eleventh day of February one thousand seven hundred and ninety Nine lying and being in the County of Lincoln on the south side of Green River and bounded as followeth to wit Beginning on a black Oak marked SL on the dividing Ridge between fishing Creek & white oak creek about two miles from where the trace crosses fishing creek that goes from Coopers to Jesse Rentfros running thence South twenty West two Hundred and twenty Poles to a small poplar and dogwood thence South seventy East one hundred forty five and an half poles to a small poplar & black Oak thence North twenty East two hundred and twenty Poles to a black oak and sugartree, thence North seventy West one hundred forty five and an half Poles to the Beginning - With its appurtenances To have and To hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land with its appurtenances to the said Stephen Lee and his heirs forever In witness whereof the said Christopher Greenup Esq Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky hath hereunto set his hand and caused the seal of the said Commonwealth to be affixed at Frankfort on the twenty first day of June in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six and of the Commonwealth the Fifteenth.
