OBIT: BOURNE, Pearl Duncan 1928 - Lincoln County, Kentucky ------------------------------------------------------------- Submitted by E-mail Registry submittor Betty Watkins Neu Date: Monday, August 12, 2002 9:21 PM Subject: [KYF] OBIT: BOURNE, Pearl Duncan, 1928, Lincoln Co -------------------------------------------------------------- Obit for Pearl Duncan Bourne Interior Journal, Stanford, KY - February 11, 1928 Mrs. J. W. Bourne DEAD Another good wife and mother went to a rich reward Thursday noon when the spirit of Mrs. J. W. Bourne returned to the God Who gave it. Besides her husband, she leaves seven children, six daughters and one son. Also a sister, Mrs. Willis Sewell of Junction City. The children are: Mrs. Fred Watkins of the Maywood section; Mrs. Charles Laws of Wooldridge; Mrs. Elmer Young of Cincinnati, Misses Lelia and Hetty Bourne, who have good positions in Cincinnati, and a son and daughter at home. Mrs. Bourne was in her 48th year and previous to her marriage was Miss Pearl Duncan, of Junction City. She was a devout member of the Baptist church and those who knew her well say that a better woman never lived. Until a year ago, she enjoyed perfect health, but then her decline came and she had been in very poor health ever since. A great loss has been sustained by the husband and children and the unstinted sympathy of everyone goes out to them. Funeral services were held at the late home on Somerset pike Saturday morning, Rev. J. H. Winstead, pastor of the Baptist church of this city, officiating. The burial followed in Buffalo Spring cemetery. A large number of friends were present and there were many floral offerings. ************************************************************************* USGENWEB ARCHIVES NOTICE: These electronic pages may NOT be reproduced in any format for profit or presentation by any other organization or persons.
