Born Feb. 19, 1923, in Hubble, he was the widower of Ann Pearce Walters Frye. He was a mechanical engineer having served in the Army Corps of Engineers as a first lieutenant during World War II. He was an employee of Libbey Glass in Toledo, Ohio, before retiring to Green Valley, Ariz. Survivors include three daughters, Jane McPherson of Kingston, Tenn., Betsy Kimbrough of Columbus, Ind., and Pat Mount of Tucson; six grand- children; and three great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at a later date. Memorials may go to the Arizona Nature Conservancy, 1510 E.
