From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 5 May 2003 LIBERTY -- Thurman "Hotshot" Greer, 64, of Middleburg died Saturday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born April 4, 1939, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Hensley and Maudie Williams Greer. He was a self- employed mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Napier Greer; a son, Jeffrey Greer of Nicholasville; four sisters, Gladys Rowland and Mary Turpin, both of Hustonville, and Cynthia Greer and Betty Carter, both of Kings Mountain; three brothers, Dallas Greer of Kings Mountain, Paul Greer of Middleburg and James Greer of Hustonville; and two grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home by Steven Wilham and G.W Smith. Burial will be in K.P. Hall Cemetery. Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Tuesday.
