From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 2 May 2003 WAYNESBURG -- Services for Vernon Neal Lenington, 75, of Waynesburg, will be 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery. He died Wednesday at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born July 30, 1927, in Waltonville, Ill., he was the son of the late Cornelius and Hildred Lou Fairchild Lenington. He was an employee of Ohio Valley Pipeline Co. in Indiana, a member of Mitchellsburg Lions Club and a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rogers Lenington; a son, Roger Lenington of Danville; a daughter, Donna McCloud of Milltown, Ind.; four stepsons, Sammy, Michael and Joey Lee, all of Stanford, and Garnett Lee Jr. of Mitchellsburg; a stepdaughter, Melanie Riester of Nicholasville; 12 grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Eddie Engle, Johnny Russell, Scotty, Josh and Victor Lee, Jody Lenington, and Bruce and Shawn McCloud. Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday.
