Pruitt Funeral Home by the Rev. Don Garland. Burial will be in Junction City Cemetery. He died today at his home. Born Dec. 20, 1928, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Ike and Mattie Lou Wright McCowan. He was a retired employee of Penn Ventilation and a member of Bowen United Methodist Church. He was a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 433. Survivors include his wife, Annie McCowan; three sons, Henry McCowan and Bill McCowan, both of Junction City, and Ike McCowan of Forkland; three daughters, Carol Hair, Mary Hurst and Brenda Cross, all of Junction City; two brothers, Joe McCowan of Stanford and Ike McCowan Jr. of Junction City; a sister, Elizabeth Privett of Junction City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Anthony, Eddie, Jeff, Bradley and Jason McCowan. Honorary pallbearers are the men of Penn Ventilation.
