Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford. She died Thursday at Rex Healthcare in Louisburg, N.C. Born Nov. 29, 1947, she was the daughter of Curtis M. Durham of Stanford and the late Madaline Cain Durham. She was a third grade teacher at Youngsville Elementary School in Youngsville, N.C. Other survivors include her husband, Charles E. McNew of Louisburg, N.C.; a son, Chip McNew of Nicholasville,; a daughter, Candi McNew of Louisburg, N.C.; two brothers, David Durham of Danville and Rick Durham of Lexington; and one grandson. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fox Funeral Home.
