CRAB ORCHARD -- Jamie Andrew Baker Newland, 85, of Stanford died 
Wednesday at Garrard County Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.

Born Aug. 28, 1917, in Crab Orchard, she was the daughter of the 
late Earl Cecil and Jenny Rogers Baker. She was the widow of M.D. 
Newland. She was a member of Crab Orchard Baptist Church, a 
graduate of Spencerian Business College and a retired licensed 
practical nurse at the old Kentucky State Hospital.

Survivors include a son, Bert McGohon of Stanford; two brothers, 
E.C. Baker Jr. of Brodhead and Roger Baker of Frankfort; and two 
sisters, Elaine Young of Louisville and Sue Hale of Danville.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McKnight Funeral Home by Gary 
Story. Burial will be in Crab Orchard Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Baschnagel, James Dyehouse, Paul Wyler, 
Toney Dollins, Ralph Coleman and Buckwheat Gilbert.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday.
