From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 23 Apr 2003 MORELAND -- Dortha Rucker, 87, of Hendersonville, Tenn., died Tuesday at Hendersonville. Born Oct. 1, 1915, in Moreland, she was the daughter of the late Saint Clair and Hattie Mae Morgan Rucker. She was a registered nurse and surgical nursing supervisor, and a Seventh Day Adventist. Survivors include two sisters, Martha Rucker Clabaugh of Fairfield, Iowa, and Myrtle Carroll of Tampa, Fla. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Moreland Cemetery by Gerald Fillman. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home.
