From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 9 Apr 2003 HONAKER, Va. -- Cynthia Ethel Rasnake, 86, of Cleveland, Va., died Friday in Lebanon, Va. Born Jan 27, 1917, in Buchanan County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Russell and Maudie Street Massie. She was a certified nursing assistant and a member of Cleveland United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Carl Rasnake; two daughters, Lois Walls of Russellville and Edna Aldridge of Naples, Fla.; six sons, Ray Price of Stanford, Charles Price of Hustonville, Oscar Price and Henry Price, both of Naples, Tony Price and Michael Price, both of Shelbyville; two stepdaughters, Virginia Lambert of Cleveland, Va., and Irene Culbertson of Bluefield, W.V.; two stepsons, Gary Rasnake and Lonnie Rasnake, both of Cleveland, Va.; two sisters, Mae Bottoms of Danville and Bertha Helton of Crab Orchard; and several grandchildren, great-and great-great-grandchildren. Services were Monday at Honaker Funeral Home by the Revs. Roy Walls and Jim Little. Burial was in Rasnake Cemetery.
