BIO: Lowery, Dr. Allen, Livingston Co & OK From: JKOET@aol.com Date: Wed, 26 Nov 1997 23:43:54 -0600 Subject: KY-F: BIO: Paden, Crittendon & Livingston Co PADON, LOWERY, THRELKELD, BUTLER, WORTEN, CRAWFORD Dr. Lowery was born in Fredonia, Kentucky July 18, 1860, the son of John S. and Pollyanna (Butler) Lowery. In 1865 he and his parents moved to Salem, Kentucky. Allen Lowery entered the University of Kentucky in 1881, and graduated that Medical School in 1891. He practiced medicine in Carrsville, Kentucky, for a time and then moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma to join the medical practice already established by his brother-in-law Dr. William H.Padon. Dr. Lowery was married to Mary Elizabeth Padon, the daughter of William T. and Addie (Threlkeld) Padon. Her father was born in 1825, and died in 1912 he was a prominent business and civic leader of Livingston County, Kentucky. During his yourth, William T. Padon had spent some time in California during the Gold Rush. He was successful and returned to Kentucky. Mrs. Lowery's mother, Addie (Threlkeld) Padon, was born at Carrsville, Kentucky, September 29, 1834 and died in Blackwell, February 18, 1929. She was the daughter of Richard and Sarah Threlkeld. Addie Threldkeld Padon and William T. Padon were the parents of eight children. Mrs. Sarah Padon Worten and Mrs. Minnie Padon Crawford, died before their mother. Jesse J. and Dr. William H. Padon, are deceased. Three sons all living in Kentucky are Charles, Frank and Hal Padon.
