DUFF Esquires Ordered that Thomas BROOKS Jesse B PEMBERTON Mercer WADLINGTON & Joseph THOMPSON or any three do View and mark Out the nearest and best way for a road from Judge PRINCEs in a direction towards Centreville to be Conducted by Mercer WADLINGTONs and that they report to the next Court &c Ordered that Mercer WADLINGTON be appointed surveyor of the road from RITCHEYs branch to William PRINCEs in the room of John GEORGE Junr And that the same hands be allowed him &c Ordered that Elizabeth KILGORE be appointed guardian to the infant orphants of William KILGORE decd. She having entered into bond with John JINKINS & Isaac GREER her securities in the penalty of $40? conditioned as the law directs-- And the sheriff is hereby commanded to take the said Orphants into his possession and to deliver them up to the said Elizabeth KILGORE &c Book F [Ct Ord Bk F includes 1816-1822 orders]1817 Monday October 20, 1817, p. 74-- Benjamin SPILLMAN guardian for David Y RICE infant Orphan of David RICE decd. came into court and requested to be exonerated from his guardianship as he intends removing from this state and to leave his ward in this county whereupon it is ordered that James E. WILLIS be appointed guardian for said infant and the said James E WILLIS came into court and entered into bond with James H. RICE his security in the penalty of $200 conditioned as the Law directs. Ordered that Joseph GORDON be expted. from paying county Levy on one Tithable and Jacob COKER two John SCOTT Admr. of Polly BRIDGES decd. exhibited an Account against said estate to the amount of six dollars seventy five cents which is ordered to be allowed him Ordered that Wm. BIRDSONG Z.B. HOBERT and John MERCER be ap- pointed to settle with Mary GREER admx of Jonathan GREER decd and make report thereof Book F1820 17th Apl., 1820, p. 155-- This day returned their report Which being Examd. and approved of by the Court is Orderd. to be recorded viz., We the undersigners appointed by the Livingston County Court at their Nov term to View and Mark a road from Salem to John PUCKETTs Mill do recommend the Present Wagon Way all Except? to strating (sic) the same so as to pass by Mrs. GREERs House We also state to the court that road Will Pass Over lands belonging To the following Persons Towit Will PEPPIN, Robert HODGE, D. & J.R. GIVEN and the heir Or heirs of David RICE decd. Given under Our hands the 15th Apl. 1820. James HODGE, E. L. HEAD and Thereupon the Said Robert HODGE, D. & J.R. GIVEN & Will PEPPIN Proprietors of the land through which the said Way will pass personally came into court and gave consent that the said road should be Open and Established a Public road 20 feet Wide as afd. agreeable to law.--- ----precinct No 81.
