David Ewing Burns

    He was a native of Indiana; he was pastor at Henderson for one year, and
became pastor of the Russellville Church in May 1847. He was very popular with
the young people, but did not please the older members of this church. He
remained in the Russellville Church only six months when he accepted a pastorate
at Paducah - this biography was taken from Spencer's History of Kentucky Baptists.
