DUNN CEMETERY From Auburn Kentucky, take hwy., 103 Northwest 7.5 miles to Chandler's Chapel; turn right on hwy.79 for 0.8 miles, turn left on Honor Chapel Road for about 1.6 miles, plot was on the hill near the Buford Davenport home. But chain link fence surrounding it was destroyed by tar sands operation in this area. 10-20 stones were here when Katherine Bailey Cornelius visited the site as a child. But stones have been lost. Read by Weaver Ashby, Homer Kentucy. Another reading of the same plot surrounded by a chain link fence by the Texas Gas Co. The Cemetery is a 50x50 square. Also contributed in 1980. I am the Great-Great Granddaughter of Gray B. Dunn and Lucy G. Dunn. I will be putting up a new DUNN tombstone as well as bringing 2 Civil War Markers. The Civil War markers are for the sons of Gray B. Dunn whom were both killed in the Civil War. John Lewis Dunn (1842-1863) 2nd Corporal Co. A 9th Kentucky Regiment Mounted Infantry Brigade, Confederate States Army. Killed Chickamauga, Georgia. Reciepient of the MEDAL OF HONOR/HONOR ROLL for his service in the Civil War. His Brother, son of Gray B. Dunn is Eli Edward Dunn (1837-1864) 1st Corporal Co A 9th Kentucky Regiment Mounted Infantry Brigade, Confederate States Army, killed battle of Jonesboro, Georgia. I have had their govt. Markers made and will place them with their parents in the DUNN CEMETERY. The DUNN CEMETERY was on land once owned by the DUNN and GRAHAM families.
