All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beverly Watson beverly_wat@msn.com March 13, 2010, 11:15 am Written: November 29, 1811 Recorded: July 19, 1812 Logan County KY Deed Book C, Pgs 467, 468 and 469 Prier et al to Prier Deed This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven between the heirs of Richard Prior Decd of the County of Logan and State of Kentucky of the one part Jonathan Prior of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand Dollars to them the said heirs of Richard Prior in hand paid by him the said Jonathan Prior at or before the reading and delivery of these presents the receipt and payment whereof they do hereby acknowledge both granted bargained sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien inf--- and confirm unto the aforesaid Jonathan Prior his Heirs and assigns forever all the tract or parcel of Land situate lying and being in the State and county aforesaid or is the far ford of red river Beginning twelve poles below where the Cumberland trace crosses the R River Running thence south tin (sic) degrees west seventy poles to a white oak thence North Eighty degrees west three hundred and thirty seven (?) poles a Stake in the Can--- thence North tin (sic) Degrees East crossing the River at forty poles one hundred and twenty poles to a white and red oak thence --- --- -rgnies ---- --vice hundred and thirty four poles to three white oaks thence south Ten degrees west thirty poles to the Beginning containing two hundred and fifty acres be the same more or less to have and the sd tract or parcel of Land together with all and singular the advantages and appurtenances unto the said Jonathan Prior his heirs and assigns forever and the said Heirs of Richard Prior Decd for themselves and their heirs doth covenant to and with the sd Prior his heirs and assigns that they will warrant and forever defend the aforesaid tract of Land with its every benefit against any person or persons who may claim the same or any part thereof Including whereof each of the said heirs of the above named Richard Prior decd hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the date above written. This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven between the Heirs of Richard Prior Deceased of the State of Kentucky and County of Logan of the one part and Jonathan Prior of the State & County aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of $------- of one thousand Dollars to them the said heirs of Richard Prior in hand paid by him the said Jonathan Prior at or before the Sealing & Delivering of the presents viz receipt and payment whereof is hereby Acknowledged both granted bargained sold and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien inf--- and confirm unto the aforesaid Jonathan Prior his heirs and assigns forever all that tract or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the State and County aforesaid Beginning at a post oak in Craddocks line running south fourteen East sixty Eight poles to the State line thence with the State line South eighty one west one hundred and ninety two poles to a post oak then ce North one hundred and twenty poles a stake thence North sixty west twenty seven poles to a stake thence North twenty four west to a corner of Craddocks lower survey and with his line two hundred and seventeen poles to a white oak thence west forty nine poles one hundred poles to a hickory thence South thirty four East one hundred and one poles to a corner of Craddocks upper survey thence south five west one hundred and forty poles with his line thence south seventy six East two hundred poles to the beginning containing two hundred acres to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of Land together with all singular the advantages and appurtenances unto the said Jonathan Prior his heirs and assigns forever and the sd heirs of Richard Prior Decd for themselves and their heirs doth covenant to and with the said Jonathan Prior his heirs and assigns that they warrant and forever defend aforesaid tract of Land with its every benefit against any person or persons who may claim the same or any part thereof.
