State of Kentucky, County of Logan. On this 19th day of April A.D. one thousand eight hundred and fifty five, personally appeared before me M. P. MORTON, presiding Judge within and for the county and State aforesaid, MARY McCLEAN, aged 77 years, a resident of Logan County, in the State of Kentucky, who, being duly sworn according to law, declares that she is the widow of JAMES McLEAN, deceased, who was a private in the company commanded by Captain Saunders, in the 17 regiment of Regular army, commanded by ______, in the war with ______, declared by the United States on the ____ day of ____, 18__; that her said husband enlisted at Glasgo Kentucky, on or about the ____ day of year A.D. 1817, for the term of five years, and continued in actual service in said war for the term of for or five, and was honorably discharged at and died at Fort Malden to the best of her _____ A. D. 1821. She further states that she was married to the said JAMES McLEAN in Lexington KY on the ____ day of in the year A.D. 1800, by one ____ a minister of the gospel, and that her name before her said marriage was MARY ROBERTS; that her husband died at Fort Malden on the ____ day of in the year A.D. 1821, and that she is now a widow & has been since the death of her said Husband. She further declares that she has herefore made application for bounty land under the act approved Sept 1850 nor any other act of Congress. She makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the bounty land to which she may be entitled under the "act approved March 3, 1855." /s/ MARY McCLEAN. We, JAMES W. PERRY and GEO. T.
