Executors: sons Saml and William Felts Signed: Archibald Felts Wit: Alexander Moody, Malachi Carr, Thomas Davis, Elisha Bennett, Samuel H. Clubb. Proved 6 Jun 1825. My Notes: There were two Nathaniel Felts living in Logan Co at this time. They have been confused and often combined as one man. The one named as a son of Archibald, in this will, was I believe born about 1804, married Nancy Hammond, 2 Jan 1837 in Warren Co, KY. He is sometimes seen with the middle initial as Nathaniel W. Felts. His family can be found still in Logan Co in the 1850 census. Another Nathaniel Felts of Logan Co KY always wrote his name as Nathaniel H. Felts - he was born 17 Feb 1788, married Elizabeth H. Haden, daughter of James & Rebecca Morton Haden, in May of 1825, and they moved to Mississippi before October of 1835. I believe this man was a son of Augustine Felts, brother of the above Archibald. Felts researchers report the father of Archibald and Augustine was also a Nathaniel Felts which explains the use of this name. Augustine left a will in 1831, Logan Co WB E, p.2, that did not name his children, but a descendant of the Felts family has said there was some sort of estate settlement record which includes Nathaniel H. Felts and three daughters. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/ky/logan/wills/felts515gwl.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/kyfiles/
