Written: 1819

Thomas Johnson's name is found consistently with the Johnson spelling.  Thomas 
married Ann "Nancy" Price, 25 Feb 1799, Louisa Co VA.  He made an oral 
[nuncupative] will just prior to his death.  He did not name his wife nor his 
children.

I James Stevenson being of lawfull age and being at Thomas Johnsons in his 
last illness and a few days before his death and he being in his right mind 
and senses and being in conversation with him he said Johnson observed that he 
had made a will some time back and he observes that he did not like it and he 
said lose his name of, and he said Johnson observed that his will and desire 
was that his wife should have all his property during her natural life and to 
care for her children as she can and at her death the hole property to be 
throw together and on equal division to be maid between his children.

slaves left to the widow and ten children, the following heirs are listed:

and wife, Mary P. Johnson Perkins, daughter; Nancy Johnson, widow; Thomas J. 
and James G. Johnson, sons; Louisa J. and Margaret Johnson, daughters; William 
C. Price and wife, Sarah Johnson Price, daughter; William D. Price and wife, 
Susan Johnson Price, daughter; John P. Johnson, son; William L. Johnson and 
wife, Nancy (Jr.) Johnson Johnson, daughter.
