Abstracts from Logan Co KY Will Book B

Please note that the following records apply to Nathan Johnston, Jr. His 
father of the same name had died about 1809.  Online databases have sometimes 
combined these two men as one person.  Nathan Johnston, Sr. was married to a 
lady name Sheba, perhaps Bathsheba.  Nathan Johnston Jr. married Caty Newman, 
in May of 1798, in Logan Co KY.  Nathan Jr. left minor children; his father 
did not.  Both Nathan Sr and Jr appear in the tax records of Logan Co from 
1797 until 1810, after which time, Sheba Johnston, widow, and a Nathan 
Johnston are both listed.  In the Logan Co records, the spellings Johnston and 
Johnson are used almost interchangeably.  Nathan's family most often appears 
as Johnston.

Nathan Johnson left no will; he died intestate.
