Deed Book,27 pg.169 Deed Of William Simmons Known by all men by these presents, that I William Simmons of the county of Logan and the state of Kentucky. For the good will and love and affection I have for my hereafer named children. To wit. namely, Richared H. Simmons, Mary W. who intermarried with Radney Knight, Elizabeth who intermarried with Daniel Rust, and Benjamine Peter. I do give and deliver unto the following proptery, goods, and chattles: Item: first I give unto my son Richard, my negro man named Nero, to be his alone. Also my negro girl, Claripha, and her child named Squire, about 6 mo. old to have said girl and child during Richard's lifetime, then to desend to his children. Also to have my old nergo woman Patsy, which he is to take care of. I also give to my son Richard the lower or northern end of my two hundred acres of land lying in Logan Co. wherein I now live, making the drain or gut on the south side of the dwelling house and orchard and nearto them say, one hundred yards distant from them. To be his boundry in the division of the land. Item: I give to my daugter Mary, who intermarried with Radney Knight, my negro woman Sylvia, also my boy Gabriel, to have said negroes, Slyvia and Gabriel during her natural lifetime, then to desend to her children. Item: I give to my daughter Elizabeh, who intermarried with Daniel Rust, my nergro woman Lyndia and her younger child , Eliza about her eight months old , to have said nergos and to hold them duing her natural life time,then to descend to her children. Item:I give to my son Benjamine, my negro boy George, also my negro girl named Hannah to have during his natural lifetime, then to desend to his children. I also give to my son Benjamine the upper or the southern end of my two hundred acres of land I nowlive on in Logan Co., on the waters of the Muddy creek making the drain or hollow lying on the south side of the house and orchard and near them to be the division line between said Richard and Bejamine to have and to have and to hold said land during his natural life then to desend to his children.
