M. E. TOWNES DIES AT FRANKFORT Remains Brought to Lyon County and Interred at Saratoga Cemetery. Mrs. Mary E. (Hall) Townes, 77 years of age and a former resident of Lyon County, died at the home of her daughter Mrs. William Morris, at Frankfort, KY; Tuesday of last week. Death was due to infirmities incident to advancing years and also to the fact that she fell last May and dislocated her hip - having never recovered from this accident. Her remains were shipped to this county for burial which took place in the Saratoga cemetery last Thursday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. R. L. Tally, pastor of the Methodist church, in the presence of a host of relatives and friends. She was a member of the Methodist church, having professed faith in Christ at the age of 23. She is survived by three sons: Willard Townes and Morris Townes, of this county, and John Townes, of Oklahoma, also four daughters: Mrs. J. W. Hollingsworth, Princeton; Mrs. William Morris, Frankfort; Mrs. Sarah Barnett, Henderson, and Mrs. Nola Woodside, of Kansas. She was a sister of John Hall and Mrs. Manliff Tucker, of Eddyville, and Mrs. Charlie Henson of Sikeston, MO.
