I Richard Thurmond of Madison County Kentucky hereby lease of Green Clay the 
plantation where I now live on Little Muddy Creek Waters for seven years from 
the first day of January 1812 then  ____ following containing about 8 acres 
the said Thurmond is to move the fences and square or straight so as to 
include just ten acres for which ten acres the said Thurmond is to pay said 
Clay annually one thousand pounds of tobacco inspected at Jacks Creek 
Warehouse.  The said Thurmond is to cut no green timber on the land nor 
sufferit to be done except what may be enclosed by the moving the fence and to 
include the said ten acres in the whole witness my, our hands and seals August 
27, 1811.
