Witnesseth that the said Franklin and his wife for ____ and consideration of Seven hundred dollars ____ in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents to grant bargain and sell unto the said Lee and his heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land in said County of Madison and on the waters of the Walnut [?] Meadow fork of Paint Lick Creek which said tract or parcel of land contains one hundred and nine [?] acres of land ___ the ___ or ___ and is contained within the following courses and distances to wit: Beginning at ____ hickory tree thence East 101 ½ poles to a white oak tree at F thence South 210 poles to a white oak tree at E thence N53W 45 ½ poles to the Springs at F thence down the spring branch West 17 poles N31W 49 ½ poles N582 w9 poles to a stake at ___ the old line thence with the same N1W 125 ½ poles to the Beginning. To have and to hold the above granted premises with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Noah Lee and his heirs forever and the said Bernard Franklin and Martha his wife for themselves their heirs, Executors, administrators do hereby warrant and agree with the said Noah Lee that they will forever warrant and defend the tract of land herein granted with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging unto his the said Noah Lee his heirs or assigns against the claim or claims of all and every person or person whatever. In Testimony whereof the said Bernard Franklin and Martha his wife have set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
