Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in Consideration of the Sum of Three hundred dollars Current money in hand paid and Secured have Granted bargained and Sold and by these presents to Grant bargain and Sell unto the said parties of the Second part all that Tract or parcel of land Situated and being in the County of Madison and on the waters of Paint Lick Creek Containing Seventy Two acres and bounded as follows to wit: Beginning at Two black ashes blue ash and hawbush [?] on the dividing line between said Hawkins and James Sewell thence due West 76 poles to two Spanish oaks and hickory thence due South 146 poles to the bald hill cornering on a post [?] oak thence due East 81 poles to corner between said Hawkins and Sewell cornering on an Elm hickory and blue ash, thence north two degrees West ____ running to a double hickory thence north nine degrees East to a double Elm thence north one degree East to the out boundary to the Beginning. Together with all and Singular the premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to hold the land hereby Conveyed with the appurtenances unto the said Grisom Lee and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Thomas Hawkings and Rachel his wife The aforesaid Tract of land and appurtenances unto the said Grisham Lee and his heirs and assigns against the Claim of them the said Thomas Hawkin and wife and their heirs and all and every person or persons whatever Shall and will forever defend.
