Witnesseth that the said Mathias Lambert and Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of eight dollars and 55 cents in specie to them in hand paid the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge hath granted, bargained and sold and by these presents do grant, bargain, and sell unto the said Grissom Lee his heirs and asigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land containing two acres 3 roods and 16 poles lying and being in the County of Madison on the waters of the Walnut Meadow fork of Paint Lick Creek being part of a survey of 600 acres granted to Michael Burge ____ and bounded as followeth to wit: Beginning at a ____ elm South East corner to Wm Patton's survey of 200 acres thence with George Lambert's line S 35 degrees W 40 ½ poles to a white oak and buckeye on said Lambert's line thence a new line N 881/2 East 28 poles to a hackberry on Michael Burge's old line thence N 3 ½ W with said line 32 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the said tract of land with its appurtenances to the said Grissom Lee his heirs and asigns forever and the said Matthias Lambert and Elizabeth his wife for themselves their heirs, executors, and admrs to warrant and forever defend the said tract of land with its appurtenances to the said Grissom Lee his heirs and asigns against the claim of all and every person or persons whatever. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals the day and year first above written.
