After a painful illness of little over a week, her death came and on last Tuesday, she was called to her eternal rest. Mrs. Waller, who was 37 years old was the oldest child of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Hamilton, of Union City, and hers is the first death to occur in this large family of twelve children. Mrs. Waller was a beautiful type of woman hood. A true Christian in every sense of the word, a model wife and mother and a daughter who honored her parents at all times. She was widely known and much beloved and her death, right in the very noon day of life is extremely sad. She will be missed by a large circle of friends and relatives, but mostly in the home, where now a husband and eight children are mourning the loss of a beloved wife and mother. She was ready at all time to make a sacrafice for those she loved and her many Christian deeds are a worthy example to others. Besides her husband and children she is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Hamilton, one of the most highly respected couples of this county, and eight brothers and three sisters, among whom are Messrs. Charles, James, and Thompson Hamilton of this city. Her funeral was preached on Wednesday at the Union Christian church, by Elder L. H. Reynolps in the presence of one of the largest gathering of friends ever seen in that section. A touching feature was the sight of her eight stalwart and manly brothers, bowed down with their first great grief, acting as pall bearers. Her burial took place in the Union Cemetery and all that was mortal of Mrs. Lou Hamilton Waller was laid to rest.
