Item (1st) I want all my just debts to be paid in the first place. Item (2nd) I bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Searcy A negro girl named Tilla also one Fether bed with its usual clothing – Item (3rd) I bequeath to my Daughter Sally Searcy a negro girl named Milly one fether bed with its usual clothing. Also one black horse colt. Item (4th) All my Real and personal Estate except that above mentioned shall be sold and divided equally between my children the two girls above mentioned with the rest of the children. Item (5th) I appoint John McCord and John Summers Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness of all and each of the things herein contained I have set my hand and seal this twenty Second day of October, One thousand eight hundred and twenty. Samuel Searcy Witness: Jesse Searcy John Hardwick Kentucky, Madison County I, David Irvine, clerk of the Court for the County aforesaid do hereby testify that at a County Court held for Madison County on Monday the 2nd day of April, 1821 this instrument of writing was produced in open Court and proven to be the last Will and Testament of Samuel Searcy Decd by the oath of Jesse Searcy and John Hardwick both subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be Recorded and the same has been done accordingly.
