WILL: Thomas Turner will 1815, recorded 1822 Will Bk. (1822) p. 140-141 Madison Co. Ky. In the name of God Amen. I Thomas Turner of the county of Madison and State of Kentucky do make ordain and declare this instrument to be my last will and Testament revoking all others.First all my just debts to be paid. Second I give to my two younger sons Thomas and Benjamin my tract of land on which I now live to be equally divided between them at my decease. 3rd I give to my son Thomas Turner my Negro Boy Frank and one feather Bed and furniture and that he should keep the horses and saddle and bridle that he now claims. Also I give to my daughter Hannah Turner my negro girl Betsey , a Cow and calf, feather bed and furniture, a side saddle and bridle to be worth sixteen dollars.- Also I give to my Daughter Nancy Turner my negro girl Riah (or Rich ) , a feather bed and furniture , cow and calf, a side saddle and bridle to be worth sixteen dollars. - Also I give to my son Benjamin Turner, my negro Boy Solomon, one horse, saddle and bridle to be worth one hundred dollars and my feather Bed and furniture, and that he shall be educated out of my Estate, to read, write and cypher as far as the double rule of three, and also to be comfortably cloathed and boarded while getthing his education. The rest residue and remainder of my Estate both real and personal, viz my wish and desire for it to be sold, and divided equally amon all my children (viz) James Turner, Rachel Barnes, Edward Turner, Smith Turner, Wm. Turner, Catharine Morgan, Thomas Turner, Rebeckah Howard , Sarah Martin, Ann Martin , Elenor Johnson, John Turner, Hannah Turner, Nancy Turner and Benjamin Turner to them and their heirs forever but should other of the four last named children die before they arrive to lawful age, or have an --- their portion that is left to them that may decease to be sold and equally divided between all my children. Lastly I constitute and appoint my Sons Edward Turner and my brother Philip Turner Executors of this my last will and Testament . In Writing whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 12th day of October one thousand eight hundred and eleven in presence of Gabt (or Robt.) Ragsdale, John Turner, James Turner.
