  Johnnie Back,92,of Salyersville,Magoffin County,Ky.died 
Friday,April 16,1999 at Highlands Regional Medical Center 
in Prestonsburg,Ky.Following an extended illness.
  He was born February 15,1907,in Magoffin County,a son of
the late Wesley and Lizzie (Holbrook)Back  he was married
to Eulah Gullett Back,who survives. a retired carpenter,he
was a member  of the Masonic Lodge #769 in Salyersville,
and of the United Baptist Faith.
  Other survivors include three sons Jim W.Back and Howard 
Harlow Back,both of Salyerville,Ky, and Kenneth Back of
Winchester,Ky.two dauhters,Millie Grimm of Cincinnati,
Ohio,and Margie Jo Adkins of Salyersville; a brother,Frank
 Back of Indianapolis,Indiana;nine great-grandchildren;
and an additional host of relatives and friends
  Funeral services were conducted at the Salyersville 
Funeral Home Chapel with Wayne Meade officiating.
  Burial followed at the Dyer Cemetery on Right Middle 
fork,with the Salyersville Funeral Home in charge 
of arrangements.
