He was born March 21, 1950 in Magoffin County KY, the son of Dolphia and Flaura Elam. He was a lifetime resident of the Clark County (OH) area and had been employed as a truck driver by Wilson Freight and Yellow Freight Companies. Mitch enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working around his home and yard. He especially enjoyed the time he spent with his 3 beloved dogs, Tasha, Missy, and Teddy. He was loved and will be missed. Survivors include his daughter, Lori Grim of South Charleston and his 2 grandchildren, Josh and Brittany Grim; his sisters, including Lois (Kenny) Reed of Xenia OH, Luna Elam of Springfield OH, Nancy (Curt) Miller of South Charleston, Cathy (Wade) Parks of Pitchin OH and Connie (Dana) Andrews of South Vienna OH and 1 brother, Larry Elam of Springfield. Nephews include Mike Reed, Bruce Cassell, Blake Andrews, Dylan Andrews, Jordan Miller, and Kevin Elam. Nieces include Michelle Roderer, Layla Johnson, Deidra Banion, April VanKirk, and Beth Elam. He is also survived by a special person in his life, Cheryl Elam of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be February 25, 2005 6-8pm at Ingling Williams Funeral Home in South Charleston. The funeral services will be held February 26, 2005 at the funeral home.
