Sandra J. Hampton Strake, 58, of 23 Carson Circle, Stuarts 
Draft, VA., died Friday, Jan. 3, 1997, in Augusta Medical Center,
Fishersville, VA.

She was the sister of John King, Randy Adkins, Jerry Adkins,
and Connie Hunter, all of Mansifield.

Born May 24, 1938, in Salyersville, KY, to Richard and Hazel
Powers Hampton, she was a member of the Magoffin Historical
Society and an avid quilter.

Also surviving are her husband, David Starke; two sons;
a daughter; and two grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be conducted.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stuarts Draft
Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 86, Stuarts Draft, VA.. 

Chapel of Etter-Reynolds Funeral Service is handling arrangements.
