She was born May 30, 1920, at Harbor, KY in Magoffin County, daughter of the late Wade B. Gullett and Cynthia Caudill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two husbands, Carl and Tom Nickell; two sons, Estill “Tutt” Nickell and Tommy Wayne Nickell; one daughter, Lois Ann Nickell; and one grandchild, Tonya Lynn Nickell, three sisters and two brothers, Ruby Wills, Faye McClure, Gladys Ison, Frank Gullett, and Woodrow Mitchell Gullett. She is survived by three children, Linda Garrison of West Liberty, Betty Robinson and husband Bobby of Middletown, OH, Jerry Nickell and wife Dee Dee of Xenia, OH; two special sons, Gerald and Barbara Nickell of Hollywood, AL and Darrell and Ella Mae Nickell of Lacy Creek; a special daughter-in-law, Patty and Jerry Collins of Salyersville; five grandchildren, Tangie and Scott Grant, Carla and Casey Castle, Sarah Beth and Andy Legg, Brandi Nickell, and Hannah Scaglione; two great grandchildren, Peyton Grant and Sidney Grant; eight brothers and sisters, Juanita Deaton of Middletown, OH, Paul B. and Golda Gullett of West Liberty, Troy & Josephine Gullett, Leroy & Maxine Gullett, Roby & Rose Gullett, Lexie Francis all of Salyersville, Ella Mae and Darrell Nickell of Lacy Creek, Irene Isaac of Salyersville; and sister-in-law, Sue Gullett of Waverly, OH. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 20 at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church, Hwy 364, West Liberty, with Elders Rick Howard, Jerry Brown, Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial in the Nickell Cemetery, Hwy 364, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m. Friday and anytime Saturday at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church, Hwy 364, West Liberty. Eastern Star Service will be 7 pm Saturday conducted by Elkfork Chapter # 561. Potter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
