James Barnett
Died: Thursday, May 01, 2003
Age: 68

INDIANA — James Barnett, 68, of Knox, Ind., died Thursday, May 1,
at Starke Memorial Hospital, Knox.

Born Sept. 21, 1934, in Breathitt County, he was a son of the late 
Robert and Mary Manns Barnett. He was a sawmill operator.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Barnett; and a sister, 
Gladys Nickels. 

Survivors include his wife, Byrdlee Shepherd Barnett; a son, 
Terry Barnett of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two daughters, Marie Graham 
of Plymouth, Ind., and Diana Newcomer of Knox; four brothers, 
Ray Barnett, Raymond Barnett and Glennie Barnett, all of Middlefork, 
and Charlie Barnett of Salyersville; three sisters, Olie Douglas of 
Paw Paw, Mich., Joann Palicious of Tucson, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were Sunday, May 4, at Magoffin County 
Funeral Home Chapel, Salyersville, with Rev. Simon Porter officiating.
Burial was in cole Cemetery, Foraker, under direction of Magoffin 
County Funeral Home.
