FLETCHER CAREY,OHIO -- Paul H. Fletcher, 73, of 128 Ohio 199 North, Carey, died at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999, at his residence. He was born Sept. 9, 1925, in Magoffin County, Ky., to Simon P. and Cissie (Riley) Fletcher. He married Herlen M. Puckett on Nov. 12, 1945, and she died June 28, 1970. He married Jo Ann M. (Geckle) Conn on Nov. 27, 1971, and she survives. Also surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Connie) Niederkohr, Carey, Mrs. Ken (Shirley) Boes, Gloria Luman and Karen Schneider, all of Fostoria, Mrs. Brad (Teresa) McCormack, Leesville, S.C., Mrs. David (Patricia) Underwood, Upper Sandusky; three sons, Paul R. and David, both of Carey, Stephen of Sycamore; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerold of Williamstown, Eugene of Vanlue, Ransom of Carey; and four sisters, Anita Barnes and Janie Blanton, both of Carey, Lula Riggs, Stockbridge, Mich., Ressie Pace, Capac, Mich. He was preceded by 11 siblings; and one grandson. Mr. Fletcher retired in 1991 from the maintenance department at Budd Co., Carey. He had also worked in the maintenance department at Roppe Rubber, Fostoria, and Swan Rubber, Carey. He was a member of the Protestant faith. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stombaugh Memorial Funeral Home, Carey, the Rev. Brent McMasters officiating. Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
