Born April 14, 1925, in Salyersville, [Magoffin County], Kentucky, to Bob and Polly Howard, he retired from General Motors in 1977 after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by his first wife, Vina Howard; one son, William Stevens Howard; two brothers, Cortis and Carl Howard and one sister, Edna Mae Huddleson. Survivors include his wife of eight years, Imogene (nee Colwell) Howard of Hamilton; one daughter, Berniece Howard of Blanchester; two step-sons, Leslie and Lawrence Rice, both of Hamilton; two stepdaughters, Della Howard and Theresa Leach, both of Ross, Ohio; one brother, Jimmie Howard of Morrow; one sister, Tamzie Lehman of Morrow; seven grandchildren, Bradley Prater Stidham, Lavina Hayes, Billie Paris, Arielle Leach, Erika Howard, Kyle Leach and Makayla Rice and two great grandchildren, Xavier Paris and Toby Hayes. Visitation Wednesday, February 11, 2004, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with funeral service on Thursday, February 12, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. all at the Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow, with Pastor Charles Wells officiating. Interment to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
