Johnson Charles E. “Ed” Johnson, 81, of Miamisburg, died Friday, April 25, 2003 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born in Magoffin County, Ky., on Jan. 26, 1922, the son of Monroe and Sarah (Williams) Johnson and was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by General Motors, Delco Moraine for 30 years and retired in 1977. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Franklin. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Jeanne (Krebs) Johnson; five children, Barry of Japan, David and Chris both of Las Vegas, Nev., Vicki of San Antonio, Texas, and Cathy of Joplin, Mo.; one niece, Phyllis of San Antonio, Texas; one nephew, William Earl of Dayton; and eight grandchildren. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at Eaton-Anderson-Unglesby Funeral Home, 1357 E. Second St., Franklin with the Rev. Vernon Risner officiating. Burial will be in Bellbrook Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
